Our pastoral staff is here to walk with those who are hurting and in need of support. However, as our church grows the need for experienced counselors grows as well. We are excited to introduce Praise Professional Counseling – a deeper form of counseling that will offer an individual, family, or group, guidance from an experienced professional.

Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday
8:00 AM – 3:00 PM

University of Mary Hardin Baylor, BS., Major: Psychology, Minor: English

Jenny is a Licensed Professional Counselor who has been providing counseling services to adolescents and adults since 2002 in a variety of settings including community centers, school districts, and most recently private practice (8 years). Jenny is married to her high school sweetheart, Brian Broaddus, MD. She has 6 children, 3 boys and 3 girls.
She is excited to join the staff of Praise Church so she can help with personal growth of individuals in the Beaumont community. Professional Counseling within the church is such an organic partnership. Praise Professional Counseling believes strongly in the empowerment of speaking to someone, like a counselor, in times of life when things just aren’t so easy to navigate. Talking to a counselor is quite a bit different than speaking to a pastor, a family member, a coworker, or even a friend. It is nice to know that one has an advocate and guide on his/her side; someone there to listen, reflect feelings, and help reframe life circumstances. We hope you will consider us when looking for that someone.

Each counseling session will be 50 minutes in length with the exception of the first session. The first session to be closer to 1.5 hours, as we will go over forms, history intake, and discuss counseling goals.

“I saw over a dozen therapists before I finally met Jenny. I thank God every day for her. She not only helped me develop the coping skills I desperately needed, but also provided a relationship in which I used to personally grow. I became very successful after years of therapy with her. When I first met her, I was recently released from a hospital for a suicide attempt. I struggled with ongoing depression, suffering from years of childhood sexual abuse. After I completed therapy with Jenny, I went on to start my own practice, in which I have helped many people who were in my similar situation. I emotionally healed, and spiritually grew. She is the best therapist I have ever had and I don’t think I will need a therapist again because she helped me deal with all my battles and showed me ways to help myself throughout my lifetime. She gave me the courage I never knew I had and enabled me to believe in myself. I thank Jenny for my life.”

“I saw Jenny when I was 13 & 14 years old while my family and I were in a rough season of our lives. She was a consistent voice of hope for me during that time and always made sure my voice was heard. Being counseled by Jenny was one of the best decisions that could have been made for me during that time. She is a patient, compassionate, and loving person who played a huge role in my process of healing.”
